Presented by Irvine Barclay Theatre
In light of the global precautions in place to limit the spread of the coronavirus and the recent U.S. restrictions of travel from mainland China, the BeijingDance/LDTX company has had to postpone their U.S. tour.
At this time, Barclay Box Office representatives are working to contact current ticket holders and answer any questions. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
Embodying striking individuality and exquisite technique, BeijingDance/LDTX has performed its extensive repertoire in more than 20 countries throughout five continents. Arc, the company’s evening-length work, explores the ups and downs of life. Choreographed by Mongolian resident artist, Adiya, and performed by dancers chosen from across China, Arc is a beguiling dance experience, reflecting a kaleidoscope of life—stunningly original and always surprising.
Co-founded by Artistic Director Willy Tsao, a pioneer and champion of modern dance in China, BeijingDance/LDTX is China’s first officially registered private professional contemporary dance company.
LDTX stands for Lei Dong Tian Xia, meaning “Thunder Rumbles the Universe.”
This project received support from California Arts Council, WESTAF (the Western States Arts Federation), and the National Endowment for the Arts.
