Career Opportunities at Irvine Barclay Theatre

  • The Assistant House Manager is member of the Irvine Barclay Theatre Operating Company (IBT) Front of House (FOH) staff reporting to the House Manager. The Assistant House Manager is, in the absence of the House Manager, the primary supervisor of FOH activities for performances or events at the Barclay where the public is present.

  • Bartenders are members of the Irvine Barclay Theatre Operating Company (IBT) Front of House (FOH) staff reporting to the Hospitality Managers. Bartenders provide food and beverage service to IBT patrons, donors and other client audiences at performances and events in the Barclay.

  • Head Ushers are members of the Irvine Barclay Theatre Operating Company (IBT) Front of House (FOH) staff reporting to Lobby Captains. Head Ushers are responsible for management of an assigned group of paid and volunteer ushers at performances or events in the Barclay where the public is present.

  • Under general supervision of the Irvine Barclay Theatre Production Manager, the Lighting Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of professional technicians in providing stage and backstage technical support (especially in theatrical stage lighting and design) for professional guest artist performances and amateur licensee events occurring at Irvine Barclay Theatre and is responsible for the proper installation, maintenance, inventory and safe operation of all theatrical lighting system equipment.

  • Lobby Captains are members of the Irvine Barclay Theatre Operating Company (IBT) Front of House (FOH) staff reporting to the House Manager. Lobby Captains have primary management responsibilities for FOH operations on the Main Floor or the Balcony (depending on show assignment) at performances or events in the Barclay where the public is present.

  • Ushers are members of the Irvine Barclay Theatre Operating Company (IBT) Front of House (FOH) staff reporting to Head Ushers. Ushers are the primary point of contact for patrons attending performances or events in the Barclay.
