NATIONAL CHOREOGRAPHERS INITIATIVE: NCI DISCOVERY 2025

Be there for the birth of four new ballets created as part of the intensive 3-week process of National Choreographers Initiative. Artistic Director Molly Lynch invites four choreographers, as well as 16 professional dancers from ballet companies across the country, to participate. The project culminates in a public performance that showcases the excitement of new creation.

Many of you are familiar with NCI Discovery, but are you aware of the significant achievements made over the past 20 years? Founded by Molly Lynch in 2004, National Choreographers Initiative is a Southern California project with national influence. It has seen 80 choreographers, with a noteworthy 34 being women, along with 177 dancers hailing from 58 national dance companies. Impressively, 35 of the pieces born from this program have been premiered and performed by major dance companies.
